FAQ

Questions about Praxis Core and Kudosli, answered straight.

What the test is, what score you need, how Kudosli works, and what each plan includes.

The test

What is the Praxis Core, and who has to take it?

Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators is a set of three basic-skills tests in reading, writing, and mathematics. Many teacher preparation programs and state licensing routes require it, often before or early in a program. Whether you need it depends on your state and your program, so check both before you book a test date.

What is on each subtest?

Reading 5713 has 56 questions in 85 minutes on main idea, inference, supporting detail, vocabulary in context, and author purpose. Writing 5723 has 40 questions plus 2 essays in 100 minutes, covering grammar, usage, and revision, and then argumentative and informative writing. Mathematics 5733 has 56 questions in 90 minutes on number and quantity, algebra, geometry, and data. Each subtest is scored separately.

What score do I need to pass?

Your state sets that score, and it can differ for each subtest. Across states, Core passing scores fall roughly between 130 and 162. There is no single national passing score. Find the score your state requires for each subtest, and measure your readiness against that number. Kudosli frames your progress around the state you save in the app.

If I fall short on one subtest, do I retake everything?

No. Each subtest is its own test with its own score, so you retake only the subtest you need. That is why Kudosli tracks your accuracy separately for Reading, Writing, and Mathematics instead of blending everything into one number.

How Kudosli works

How does Kudosli work?

You start with a short placement diagnostic. Kudosli turns your results into a study plan by subtest and skill, paced to your test date. Then you build skills with short drills, build pacing with timed practice sets, and practice the Writing essays with a rubric self-check. Your dashboard shows accuracy by subtest and skill, your recent misses, and what to work on next.

Are these real Praxis questions?

No. Every Kudosli question is an original practice question written for Kudosli in the style and content areas of Praxis Core. Practicing with original questions builds the same skills the test measures, and it keeps your timed practice an honest measure of where you stand.

How does the placement diagnostic work?

You answer 12 questions, four from each subtest, with no feedback until the end. Kudosli then shows your accuracy by subtest, names your weakest skills, and gives you a starting study plan in the order to work on it. Set your test date and the plan is paced to it.

How are essays handled?

Essays are rubric-guided practice. You write to a prompt, then check your response against the four rubric areas readers use: ideas and analysis, organization, language use, and conventions. Kudosli never assigns your essay a test score. The point is a clear revision list for the next response.

Plans, pricing, and honesty

What do the plans cost?

Free costs $0 and includes 15 questions a day, 200 in total, the placement diagnostic, drills in all three subtests, and a progress dashboard. Pro is $29 a month or $290 a year, with unlimited questions and full analytics. Max is $49 a month or $490 a year and adds the full course experience. Full details are on the pricing page.

What does Max add?

Max is the full Kudosli course experience: everything in Pro, plus the complete guided course in the app and study sessions inside Claude and ChatGPT, so the lessons, drills, and reviews live where you already study. Timed practice tests and the essay course sit inside that experience, and your progress in chat counts toward the same plan you see in the app.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel in a couple of clicks, with no phone call and no retention script. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and the Free plan stays available if you want to drop back instead of leaving.

Is Kudosli affiliated with ETS?

No. Kudosli is not affiliated with ETS, and ETS does not endorse Kudosli. Praxis is a trademark of ETS. Kudosli is an independent prep product built around original practice questions.

Does Kudosli guarantee I will pass?

No, and you should be careful with any product that says it can. Passing depends on your starting point, your state score, and the work you put in. What Kudosli does is measure your practice accuracy and pacing honestly, show you exactly which skills are costing you points, and pace a plan to your test date.

Start with the diagnostic

Twelve questions show you where you stand across all three subtests, and the plan writes itself from there.
